Erin Bio


“The Appellate Guru" proudly introduced Florida and Massachusetts licensed attorney Erin (Pogue) Newell as a firm member in the Summer of 2017. Erin is also a proud graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law (Miami) where she earned top oralist honors, competed in national and local moot court and mock trial competitions, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the internationally renowned Intercultural Human Rights Law Review. Erin brings years of experience in appellate litigation to and has handled a diverse caseload of appellate litigation on matters including: criminal, personal injury, other torts, contract, foreclosure, maritime, bankruptcy, family law, and insurance defense. Erin has not only drafted appellate briefs but also has handled appellate litigation from its inception through resolution and oral argument.

Erin has presented oral argument in all of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Her experience does not end at the appellate level; Erin has also provided extensive litigation support through consulting, motion drafting, and research services to top Florida litigators. Erin’s extensive appellate background and seasoned research and drafting skills make her a valuable asset to and the attorneys we serve.
